Why abstract painting?

All forms of art are abstractions. On seeing an object, a figure or a landscape, the artist will always synthesise an image to realise the sensation of that which is observed.

My aim with abstract paintings is to condense the feelings I experience when reading poetry or hearing a piece of music.
